Sambo Store Australasia exists because one frustrated practitioner couldn't find a single FIAS-approved Sambo kurtka anywhere in the country. Today we're Australia's only dedicated Sambo retailer, stocking both FIAS official sambo suppliers, DSI (Dutch Sambo Innovation) and Green Hill Sports, and shipping competition-grade gear to athletes worldwide. Meet Nick — Practitioner, Founder, Your Direct Contact
Nick's martial arts journey began in the 1990s with Taekwondo, earning an internationally registered 4th Dan Black Belt with Kukkiwon, the World Taekwondo Headquarters. His hunger for knowledge carried him into Bujinkan Ninjutsu, training under some of Australia's most respected Grand Masters, and later into Krav Maga, where he holds a G1 level with KMG (Krav Maga Global).
It was while training Krav Maga that Nick began cross-training to round out his grappling — first Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, then Sambo. He was immediately drawn to its blend of throwing, groundwork, and — in its Combat discipline — striking. What frustrated him was simple: nobody in Australia stocked proper, FIAS-approved competition gear, the same kit used at FIAS World Championships. So he built the store himself.
Nick still trains today, travelling to Bangkok's Rajadamnern Stadium to continue developing as a Muay Thai practitioner. And he still answers the phone. Every order through this site is handled personally — not by a call centre, not by a chatbot.

Sambo Store Australasia stocks both FIAS official sambo suppliers. DSI (Dutch Sambo Innovation) gear is sourced directly from the manufacturer across Sport, Combat and Beach Sambo. Green Hill Sports is the second FIAS official sambo supplier, also stocked in full. Both are confirmed on the live FIAS suppliers registry at sambo.sport. Every item is sourced directly, not re-imported through a third party. Buy from us and you are not guessing whether your gear will pass weigh-in or grading. It is competition-legal before it ships.
What We Stock
Our core range covers all three Sambo disciplines — Sport Sambo, Combat Sambo and Beach Sambo — including complete kit bundles for athletes who'd rather not piece together a kurtka, shorts and belt separately.
