Concrete destroys ordinary skipping ropes. The outdoor version of the Morgan Cross Functional Fitness Speed Rope is built specifically to survive it, using a 2.5mm steel cable encased in a thick layer of clear nylon so the cable itself never touches the ground.

It is designed for intermediate to advanced skippers and carries the same ball bearing handle attachments as the rest of the range, giving a smooth and consistent turnaround. At 0.21kg it is noticeably heavier than the standard rope, and that extra cable weight is what you feel through the rotation. It cuts through the air rather than floating, which makes double unders more predictable once you are used to it.
