Find the Perfect Judo Uniform in Australia

Welcome to your one-stop shop for high-quality Judo uniforms (Judogi) in Australia. Whether you're a beginner stepping onto the mat for the first time, a seasoned competitor, or a parent kitting out your child, we have the perfect gi for your needs. Our collection features durable, comfortable, and regulation-compliant uniforms for all ages and skill levels.

Choosing Your Judogi: Single vs. Double Weave

Understanding the difference between weaves is key to selecting the right uniform:

      • Single Weave Judogi: Lighter and more breathable, single weave gis are ideal for beginners, children, and training in warmer Australian climates. They offer excellent comfort and mobility.
      • Double Weave Judogi: Thicker, heavier, and more durable, double weave gis are the standard for intermediate to advanced practitioners and competitors. They are harder for opponents to grip and are built to withstand intense randori (sparring).

      Competition-Ready & IJF Approved Uniforms

For serious judoka competing at state, national, or international levels, we offer a range of IJF (International Judo Federation) approved uniforms. These gis meet the strict regulations for size, weight, and material, ensuring you're competition-ready.

      Frequently Asked Questions

Refer to the size chart on each product page, which uses height as the primary measurement. If you're between sizes, we recommend choosing the larger size, as our 100% cotton gis will experience some shrinkage after the first few washes in cold water.

A single weave gi is lighter and more suitable for beginners and hot weather training. A double weave gi is thicker, heavier, and more durable, making it the preferred choice for competitors and experienced judoka as it's harder for an opponent to grip.

For most local and state-level competitions in Australia, an IJF approved gi is often not mandatory, but it's always best to check with your club or the event organiser. For national and international events, an IJF approved uniform is required.

To minimise shrinkage, always wash your Judogi in cold water and hang it to dry. Avoid using a machine dryer, as the high heat can cause significant shrinkage and damage the lapel. Wash after every session to maintain hygiene.

Most of our Judo uniforms for beginners include a complimentary white belt. Please check the individual product description to confirm what is included. Coloured belts for higher ranks are sold separately.
