High-Performance MMA Rash Guards in Australia

Step onto the mats with confidence in our premium collection of MMA rash guards. Designed for the dedicated Australian martial artist, our rash guards offer the perfect blend of durability, comfort, and performance. Whether you're training Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ), No-Gi grappling, or MMA, a high-quality rash guard is essential fight gear. It protects your skin from mat burn and bacteria, provides muscle compression to aid recovery, and wicks away sweat to keep you cool and dry during intense sessions.

      Engineered for Grappling & Striking

Our range includes both long sleeve and short sleeve options to suit your preference. Long sleeve rash guards offer maximum skin protection and can make it harder for opponents to establish grips in grappling exchanges. Short sleeve rash guards provide greater freedom of movement and a cooler feel. All our rash guards are crafted from durable, stretchable polyester and spandex blends, featuring reinforced stitching to withstand the toughest rolls. Explore our collection and find the perfect compression top to elevate your training today.

      Frequently Asked Questions

Functionally, there is very little difference. Both are compression tops made from similar materials designed for grappling. Some BJJ-specific rash guards may feature ranked colours (e.g., a black belt design) or adhere to IBJJF competition colour rules, while MMA rash guards might have more aggressive graphics. However, they are largely interchangeable for training purposes.

This comes down to personal preference. Long sleeve rash guards offer more protection against mat burn, scratches, and skin-borne infections. They also make it slightly harder for opponents to grip your arms in No-Gi. Short sleeve rash guards offer more ventilation and a less restrictive feel, which some athletes prefer.

A rash guard should fit like a second skin. It needs to be snug and compressive to effectively wick away sweat and support your muscles, but not so tight that it restricts your movement or breathing. It should not be loose or baggy, as this defeats its purpose. Always check the specific brand's size chart on the product page before purchasing.

Many of our rash guards are suitable, but you must always check the latest IBJJF uniform requirements. The rules specify that rash guards must be black, white, or black and white, and can also feature the colour of the athlete's rank. It's the competitor's responsibility to ensure their gear is compliant for any specific tournament.

To maximise the lifespan of your rash guard, we recommend washing it in cold water on a gentle cycle immediately after training. Turn it inside out before washing and avoid using fabric softeners. Most importantly, hang it to air dry. Never put your rash guard in a machine dryer, as the high heat can damage the elastic fibres and ruin the fit.
